Today

Husky
"The voice of the husky in the snow
was hoarse, packed with loss
like snow that never melts.
Paw prints that the wind blew
over, an old love letter,
fierce, ice-tight, blast.
If you'd never started out
wishing in the white, white snow
you'd never be here now, howling, lost."

Time-Tested Beauty Tips

For attractive lips, speak words of kindness.
For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people.
For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry.
For beautiful hair, let a child run his fingers through it once a day.
For poise, walk with the knowledge you'll never walk alone ...

People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived,
reclaimed and redeemed and redeemed and redeemed. Never throw out anybody. Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you'll find one at the end of your arm. As you grow older you will discover that you have two hands. One for helping yourself, the other for helping others.

Sam Levenson

Note: this is the complete poem Audrey read to hers sons, Sean and Luca on Christmas Eve 1992. The author, Sam Levenson wrote it for his grandchild.

P.S: Sorry to keep butting into your blog but rather interesting to see your trail of writings. U write with soul. Keep it up.
